MBA – Master of Business Administration Programme

Berlin International Education Concept

The learning environment created at Berlin International is student-centered and practical. Our educational approach focuses on project-based learning; students support their professional and personal development by participating in both individual and group work, enhancing their teamwork skills. All undergraduate programs at Berlin International are conducted in English. The combination of our diverse student body and academic staff with our global network allows us to truly offer an international academic experience.

Program Curriculum

The ultimate goal of the program is to cultivate global professionals with robust management knowledge, tools, and skills to create value in changing business environments, supported by an engaging network. The MBA program is conducted under the global iAccelerate network, which empowers innovative entrepreneurial projects.

While students benefit from the program's entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship-focused, flexible, and project-based structure, they also develop a conscious and practical understanding of interactions with emerging economies and other markets.

We view each course as a unique experience that includes valuable interactions with external organizations (e.g., companies, startups) such as company visits, simulations, and city explorations in Berlin's dynamic environment. The MBA program is based on a balanced mix of course formats, including projects, traditional classes, seminars, workshops, computer lab sessions, and colloquiums, as well as innovative teaching techniques that support the development of core competencies.

All courses at Berlin International are delivered entirely in English. Teaching MBA courses in English helps prepare our students for the global market and supports their roles in international business environments.

Admission Requirements

A bachelor's degree is required; preferably a graduate in Business or a related field is preferred, however, applicants with degrees in different fields may also apply.

Additionally, all applicants must have at least 1 year of full-time work experience after completing their undergraduate degree. Ideally, you are expected to have taken on management roles. If you have instead started your own business, documentation proving this will be requested.

To graduate with the title 'Master of Business Administration,' students with a 3-year bachelor's degree are admitted to the 2-year MBA program to meet the requirement of 300 ECTS credits. 4-year bachelor graduates can prefer the 1-year MBA program and have the opportunity to discuss the proposed option with the faculty during the interview.

Language Requirements

Our MBA program is offered in English. You will be required to submit a document proving your language skills. Knowledge of German is not required.

If your language skills are at CEFR B2 level or above, one of the following valid language exam certificates may be accepted for your application:

  • TOEFL ITP: 543

  • TOEFL IBT: 74

  • IELTS (Academic): Overall 6.0

  • Cambridge FCE: B2

  • PTE Academic: 59

  • BI Internal Exam / BAU 'English Proficiency Exam': 60/100

  • IB Diploma: English A or B, HL or SL

  • German Abitur

The score must have been obtained within the last two years.

If you have not completed your high school education in a predominantly English-speaking country (USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand), or if your undergraduate degree is not entirely in English, an approved language test is required for admission.

You can take Berlin International's internal language proficiency exam. The exam will be conducted online, participation is free, and it can be offered when you apply and meet the admission requirements.
