Architecture and Spatial Applications Master Programs
Architecture and Spatial Applications Master Programs
The Master’s program in "Architecture and Spatial Applications" at the Faculty of Architecture and Design is offered in both one-year and two-year formats. The program presents an international, application, and research-focused curriculum with an open thematic focus. In the two-year program, the first year focuses on developing fundamental skills in design, construction, and research, while the second year aligns with the one-year program. In their final year (or in the one-year program), students choose a specialization in one of the areas that shape their master's thesis and design projects: Urban and Social Applications, Material and Durability Applications, or Critical and Curatorial Applications.

The learning environment created at Berlin International is student-centered and application-oriented. Our educational approach focuses on project-based learning; students support their professional and personal development by engaging in both individual and group work, enhancing their teamwork skills. All undergraduate programs at Berlin International are conducted in English. Program Curriculum
In a supportive and application-focused learning environment, an instructor team with international experience encourages students to enhance their existing knowledge and broaden their professional horizons.
The two-year program begins with a first year built on foundational knowledge; this year encompasses the deepening of design, construction, and research skills and the selection of the first area of specialization. The second year reflects the structure of the one-year program; during this period, all students select a field of specialization that will guide their master’s thesis and design projects: Urban and Social Practice, Material and Durability Practice, or Critical and Curatorial Practice.
Admission Requirements
This master's program is a consecutive program aimed at graduates of the Interior Architecture/Interior Design department and requires a bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture/Interior Design for application.
